For over 15 years, Ashley Clarke has been making falconry anklets in England, trusted by falconers worldwide for their strength, reliability and practical use in the field.

Made from durable leather and fitted with solid brass eyelets, this collection includes lined falconry anklets, false aylmeri anklets and bespoke options for hawks, falcons and eagles.

Each pair is handmade in my Lincolnshire workshop using traditional leatherworking methods and materials chosen to stand up to real world use.

How to fit falconry anklets.

Our falconry anklets are designed with ease of use in mind. Years ago, many falconers would cast a bird, fit anklets with an eyelet, and cut them off again at the end of the season.

As imprint flying became more common, anklets needed to change. Casting can knock trust and confidence, and it is not pleasant for bird or falconer.

Our lined anklets are designed so they can be fitted quickly and securely. Once in place they lock together neatly, and with a permanent flying jess attached you are ready to go flying.

Our anklets sit within a wider range of handmade falconry equipment, including gloves, jesses and other accessories used by falconers worldwide.
