Design
The Bellmount is proportioned around a 75-cartridge capacity, giving useful carrying capacity without making the bag larger than it needs to be.
A concealed solid brass hinge bar forms the speed-loading opening, holding the mouth of the bag open for quick and easy access to the cartridges.
The broad cotton shoulder strap spreads the weight across the shoulder, is fully adjustable and can be removed completely when required.
Materials
The body is made from a substantial vegetable-tanned leather chosen for its balance of structure and suppleness. It has enough body to support the form of the bag and its opening, without feeling unnecessarily rigid.
The surface grain retains the natural character of the hide and will gradually soften and burnish through years of handling and use.
Inside, the bag is lined in suede. The shoulder strap is woven cotton webbing, chosen for its flexibility and comfort when carrying the weight of a full bag.
Construction
The buckles are handmade in England from solid brass. At key fixing points we use solid brass Chicago screws, allowing the fastenings to be removed if a component ever needs attention.
The leather components are cut, prepared, sewn and assembled in our Lincolnshire workshop.
Personalisation
Up to three initials can be added to the Bellmount Cartridge Bag.
Initials are stamped on the front leather tab in uppercase, with full stops between each letter, for example A.C.E.
Each personalisation is applied individually in our workshop before the bag is dispatched.
Made in England
Each Bellmount Cartridge Bag is made from start to finish in our workshop near Grantham, Lincolnshire.
Our approach to shooting goods draws on our experience making falconry equipment since 2009, where materials and construction are judged by how they perform in the field.
The Bellmount takes its name from Bellmount Tower, a local landmark close to our Lincolnshire workshop.
