Care
Care
Bridle leather is a natural material and will wear in with use. Most of the time, it only needs a light wipe with a damp cloth to remove dust or dirt.
If the surface starts to look dry, a small amount of leather care can be worked in with a soft cloth. Do not overdo it. A little is enough.
Minor marks from wear will usually settle in over time as the belt is used.

The Bridle Leather Belt is offered in set sizes and is cut from J. & E. Sedgwick bridle leather, finished with a solid brass buckle, and made here in our Lincolnshire workshop.
Offered in Black or Australian Nut, it has hand-bevelled, hand-dyed and burnished edges, a leather keeper, and seven holes spaced an inch apart for adjustment.
Choose the nearest size from the dropdown above. If you are between sizes, or want it set exactly, the made-to-measure version is the one to go for.
How to measure for your belt
- Take a belt you already wear and fasten it on the hole you use most.
- Remove it and lay it flat.
- Measure from the point where the leather folds around the buckle to the hole you use most.
- Use that measurement to choose the nearest size from the dropdown above.
Do not order by trouser size.
If you are between sizes or unsure, choose made to measure.
Made in our Lincolnshire workshop
Each belt is made here in our Lincolnshire workshop, from cutting through to finishing. We use J. & E. Sedgwick bridle leather, solid brass buckles, and a process built around making things well.
The aim is simple: a belt with the right weight, finish, and feel from the start, which wears in well over time.
