Product care

I make my products to stand the test of time. This tail guard is ready to be put to work. To keep the guard in good condition you can...

  • Wipe any dirt from the surface of the leather and plastic with a damp cloth.
  • Feed the leather part with Original Sedgwick Leathercare to protect and replenish the natural oils in the hide. Please note that this product will slightly darken the colour of the leather.

More information

Our tail guard is a semi-rigid design - structured enough to protect, but flexible enough to move with the bird and remain comfortable during wear.

Edged in soft leather to prevent rubbing, each guard is fitted with a leather bell mount that mounts directly onto a tail bell. To fit it, simply open the guard, push the cross onto the bell, and wrap it around the tail.

To remove, just push the bell and pull the tail guard down - it slides off cleanly and without fuss.

Crafted from the finest materials

Falconry is a demanding sport, not only on the bird, but also on the equipment. That's why I use the best leathers and materials I can find, from around the world.

I use high quality tough materials and leathers that perform well in the demanding conditions that we all know as normal, in the falconry field.

Real World Use

These tail guards have been proven in the field time and time again.

They're trusted by falconers around the world to keep their birds in peak condition.

We’re proud of that - but don’t just take my word for it, take theirs. See the reviews.

Proudly made in England

Every item we sell is our own work - made in our workshop, without shortcuts.

What we make is shaped by real field experience and a proper understanding of what works in practice.

“Made in England” isn’t just a label - it’s something we stand by.

If we don’t make it, we don’t sell it.
