Made in the workshop

Not everything here is picked from a shelf and sent out the same day.

Many of our products are made to order and often in small batches. Because of that, dispatch times can vary from product to product.

That is part of small-scale workshop production and part of what allows each piece to be made with care.

Some items are straightforward and can be turned around quickly. Others take longer, whether that is because of the complexity of the make, the number of orders already moving through the workshop, or the availability of the right leather for the job.

Wherever possible, estimated dispatch times are shown on product pages. Some products may go out quickly. Others may take a little longer. Where there is a longer lead time, that reflects the reality of workshop production rather than mass fulfilment.

Leather is not a uniform material, and it is not treated like one. Certain hides are better suited to certain jobs, and sometimes the right decision is to wait for the right leather rather than rush an order out using the wrong piece.

The aim is simple: make it here, and make it well.

If an order is still in progress, it has not been forgotten. It is moving through the workshop in sequence, and where lead times run longer than expected, updates will be sent.

Thank you for buying from a real workshop.
